An FAA medical certificate is one of the first steps toward most pilot certificates — and it's usually simpler than students expect. Here's how to get yours near Van Nuys (KVNY).
The three classes
- Third class — all you need to train and fly for a Private Pilot License.
- Second class — required to exercise commercial privileges.
- First class — required for airline transport pilots.
How to get one
